A Plasma Engine?

A Canadian Company has developed the first Plasma Engine for space flight. NASA will be testing this engine in the next few months and if everything works out this new engine will replace the old style of spacecraft engines. So what does this all mean? Well a flight to Mars would only take 39 days compared to the nearly 1 year using the old style engines.

Another 20 cm is expected on Sunday, and more snow on both Monday and Tuesday as well. Just when you think it's about to get better it does not, and snows yet again.

While I'm on the subject of snow, how many of you that read this blog posting and live in either Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, New Tech., Essa, Clearview, and Springwater have an issue with the snow removal? I HAVE A BIG ISSUE. So here's my rant....

When we had the 70 plus cm dump last week the plowers were going up and down my street once every 4-5 hours which I think was great. However when I started to watch what they were doing they were just driving 90% of the time and not using their equipment. I found this very strange so I started to call around to a few friends of mine in the area and they were telling me that they never saw one snowplower go down their street in over 2 days, and when they finally did show up they were using their machines, but did not put down any sand or salt. That's my issue..They plow the streets but don't put down anything to help melt the snow away. This results in the roads becoming bumpy as the snow freezes, and I feel I'm riding off road everytime I go down a side street. The main street are fine now, but with a major storm heading our way, the roads are just going to get worse.

So my question is why don't they use sand or salt on the side streets, and why don't they use their machines instead of just driving around. I noticed more by-law cars driving around looking to give people tickets for parking on the roads, then plowers..WTF is up with that!!!

It's still snowing!! WTF

Ok, so I was in the big smoke today doing some work at the office, then went to visit family. I was driving on the 400, and while it was snowing a bit in Vaughan, in Toronto it was not. Ok back to the Hwy. 400..So the drive was fine until about Hwy. 9 when it was bumper to bumper, and the snow started to fall. It took me over 2 hours to get home as the roads were quite bad.

So in my hometown of Wasaga Beach we've had about 10 cm of snow fall, but with the high winds, and the lake effect snow it seems like 30 cm on the ground. So it's fine in Toronto, but as you go futher and further north the weather gets really bad. The forcast for the next few days is more snow, high winds and just crappy weather. The ski resorts are planning to open next weekend, and would it be funny if all this snow just melted away...ha,ha,ha..

I really hate this weather, and I can't wait for the warm weather of Spring to finally get here..

We still have snow!!

Ok, I know it's still winter outside, and I know that by going to bed and waking up that the snow would not go away, but why do I have snow in Wasaga beach and my friends in Toronto don't???

What's up with that! If I have snow so should you, it's only fair don't you think? We both live in a country that gets snow and you don't have any. I think a full investigation needs to be launched, and someone needs to get to the bottom of this. Parts of Buffalo has snow and a ton of it, yet little old Toronto does not.

I think your new Mayor, Rob Ford has scared away winter...lol...Now that would be great if he had that power but we all know that he does not. So while I just finished shoveling my driveway yet again, I hope that my friends in Toronto, or for that matter in all areas that don't have snow are really enjoying themselves.

I'm just counting the days until all the snow goes away, and the nice warm weather returns. Then I can complain that it's way to hot outside, and wish for the nice cold days of winter.

Another blog, you must have no life!

Yes I've created another blog, but unlike my 2 other blogs this blog is really meant for me to vent about any and all issues. I will talk about things that are fun, things that are stupid, and things that really piss me off. It could have to do with the fact that it's snowing, yes snowing where I live, or it relate to the fact that I hate the winters, but I live in a country where it snows..What's up with that??? I complain about the snow, yet I live in Canada...Duh!!

So today I start off my complaining about the weather, and maybe tomorrow I will complain about my ex-wife, or my job..oops better not complain about my job as my boss might be watching and reading my blog posts and then I will get fired and then really have to work for a living...Just joking everyone, so sit back and have a good read, and enjoy my posts, and if you do please click on the google ad as I need money to pay for my expensive lifestyle...
